How Often Can You Pray For and With Your Children?

I would say as often as possible and practicable.

Our relationship with God and our Lord Jesus Christ demands a daily prayer regimen that strengthens the relationship.

Prayer is empowering.

The Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 that we should “Never stop praying.” “Pray without ceasing.”

Pray without ceasing

Praying often keeps our hearts closer to the Lord and away from the stresses of life.

Even when you are busy with your hands, at the grocery store, running errands, paying your bills, you can still reach out to God with your heart.

Connecting to divinity shouldn’t be complicated at all.

He is our father!

We have the freedom to talk to Him like ‘a Father.’ Jeremiah 29:12 says – “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”

What Do You Pray For?

You must have realized that as a parent, you do not have control over everything.

Through prayer, however, you can connect to a God that is in control of everything.

Children are like clay from God. Our duty is to mold the clay with God’s guidance and direction to become the best final product – using our best God-given abilities.

We pray to God about everything.

What prayers do we pray for our children to our heavenly father?

Here is a Simple Guideline on how to intentionally pray for your children and teach them to do the same.

1. Pray for God to Guard their Heart
Pray that they love and embrace God the Father, The Son, and the Holy Spirit at an early age.

Also, Pray that they honor and reverence God, their creator.
• Pray that they connect wholly to God.

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” – Proverbs 4:23

• Pray that your children maintain and guard their purity.

“All who have this hope in him purify themselves, just as he is pure.” 1 John 3:3

2. Destiny Preservation
Pray always for and with your children that they grow to fulfill their God-ordained destiny.

Teach your children to rely on God for all-round protection – physical, emotional, and spiritual.

Pray for your children that they cultivate a grateful heart. A heart that not only asks God for things but a heart that praises and gives thanks to Him in all things.

6. Forgiveness                                                                   Pray and teach your children to easily forgive and show mercy to others as God through the atonement of Jesus Christ has forgiven us.

Pray that they understand the benefits of forgiveness. It removes anger, bitterness, and malice from our hearts.

Forgiveness relieves you from being held captive by somebody else. It’s freedom!

Instruct and Pray that they understand the freedom to confess their sins to God and know they can be forgiven.
